I have many wonderful memories of Phyllis. With our bond of loving horses and riding together, Phyllis would tell me stories about living in the Hill Country, working at the family's Enchanted Rock as a little girl, the Kothmann Cemetery plot along Highway 29, and all of her experiences with her beloved Fury. I can still seeing her riding all over our property and checking her cell phone to see if she had coverage. She was always so careful, especially about Fury stepping over rocks. We spent much time together grooming our horses and just talking. They were special times! Plus, she was always such a good dresser and always looked so naturally beautiful. Bill and I were blessed to have Phyllis and Fury in our lives. I like to think of the two of them together again. God loves His entire creation. "The creation will be set free from its bondage to decay and enjoy the glorious liberty of the children of God."

To my dear, dear friend, may you rest in peace. The years and miles separated us but not our hearts. I'll cherish our friendship forever and we will meet again one day. Deloris

Phyllis, I will miss you so. Phyllis was my first friend when we moved to Texas. We shared a love for horses, all other animals, going out to lunch, or just hanging out together. She was a beautiful woman, inside and out. Love to her family. We will all miss her!!!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Phyllis was my first true Texas horse loving fabulous friend from the day she looked at me with her beautiful blue eyes and became a treasured Sundance Ranch friend. RIP dear friend.

Michelle and family--I know the many years of precious memories will always be with you and give you comfort. I remember the first time I met Phyllis. She was in the backseat when they had come to check out Eagle's Nest. Grady and I enjoyed walking with Phyllis and Pippa, but Grady would get inpatient and with us and walk faster than we could. Many evenings were spent talking under the street light after our walks. Phyllis and I had many late night phone conversation since we were both night owls. Before the pandemic we enjoyed having lunch at different locations in Glen Rose. Oh how she loved hamburgers! I have been missing those times with my friend!

My wonderful next door neighbor. Lera, my wife, enjoyed walks together. Going to eat out as friends was cut short by the pandemic. Enjoyed the horses and dog too. Teachers are extra special in our home! She was God's gift to us. May your memories give you grace and comfort.

She was our neighbor in Copper Canyon and she was the best. We loved her dogs, horses, and being around Phyllis. My daughter remembers her well. She will be missed.

What a beautiful and full life she lived. Phyllis had a smile and countenance that lit up a room. She was always so thoughtful and showed a generous spirit to me every time I was around her. Her love for family and her fur babies warms my heart to this day. I'm thankful to have known Phyllis. May God bless her family with all the wonderful memories when they need them. Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. Psalm 116:15
