GRANBURY — Ray James Yantis, 95, passed away Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016, in Granbury.
Graveside service: 1:15 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016, at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
Visitation: 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Ray was born Aug. 25, 1920, in Rotan, Texas, to James Oscar Yantis and Minnie Gertrude Robertson Yantis. He married Patricia Jean Powell, June 16, 1943, in Columbus, Georgia, and she preceded him in death on Aug. 3, 2009. Ray was a member of Granbury Church of Christ. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Texas A&M and Master’s Degree from George Washington University. He retired with the rank of Colonel from the U.S. Army. Also preceding him in death were a daughter, Diane Keene in 2014, one brother and one sister.
Survivors: He is survived by many friends.
