Hiram and I were in Troop 20 of Dallas and became Eagle scouts, graduated Sunset H.S. in 1949, and became room-mates for four years of Texas Wesleyan in Ft.Worth. We stayed in touch during our years of ministry, enjoyed discussing memories of scouting, high school and college. When he told me about his illness I was praying a miracle would happen and he would regain his health.I am grateful that my wife Jessica and I were able to visit with Hiram and Myrna in their home on what seems now to have been a good day for him. We recalled the old days and other friends that are now gone. We laughed about some of our youthful funny experinces and enjoyed the memories. I was grateful when he met Myrna during the college days and married and the great life they had together. Now he has joined many of our scouting and ministry friends who have gone to heaven and I imagine them celebrating his arrival while we are grieving his loss. Our prayers are with Myrna and their children and grandchildren during this time of sorrow. We will cherish the memories that will forever bless and inspire us all as we continue our journey on this earth until we meet again in heaven.Prayerfully, Olin
