Rev. WinnieMae Brown

November 13, 1936 - March 27, 2017

Rev. WinnieMae Brown, wife of John W. Brown, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday, March 27, 2017 with her family by her side.

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 at Abundant Life Family Church, 6800 Denton Hwy., Watauga.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to Peace International Foundation, P.O. Box 37, Teague, TX 75860.

WinnieMae was born in Larenburg, North Carolina to Neill and Marguerite Lisenby. Her career as minister, pianist, and singer spanned many years in this area as well as other places. She was employed up until the time of her death at Firm Automotive as office manager. She was active in prison ministries as well as a witness wherever she went. To all who knew her she was a loving and talented woman who touched the lives of many.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two children, Walter “Butch” Firm and Karen Firm, and by three brothers, James, Daniel, and David.

Survivors include her husband, John W. Brown; son, John Firm and wife, Kim of Granbury, daughter, Carol Firm Hilton and husband, Roger of Gulfport, Mississippi; stepchildren, David Brown, Debbie Brown, and Dorcas Guevara; sister, Patricia LaFerney and husband, Leonard; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
