Richard Guinn Brown, 76, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in Azle.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Committal will be at 3:00 p.m. at Brad Cemetery in Palo Pinto County. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be made to Community Link Mission, 300 S. Belmont St., Saginaw, TX 76179 or Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County, 320 South Freeway Fort Worth, TX 76104.
Richard has worked for Goodyear as a store manager, as a real estate Broker in Denton and Cooke Counties, served as County Commisioner in Cooke County and was the first Republican Party Commissioner elected in Cooke County. He later served as a parking enforcement officer for City of Denton and a school crossing guard for City of Fort Worth.
He enjoyed volunteering at Community Link Mission and Meals on Wheels. He enjoyed Gospel and Blue Grass music.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Zena Brown; a sister, Alene Brumley and her husband Bobby; and a granddaughter, Michelle Woodruff.
Richard is survived by his wife, Carol Brown; daughters Paula Elliott and husband Shawn, Kathy Graf and husband Karl, and Jennifer Pittman and husband Karr; grandsons, Danny Woodruff and Evan Hurst; granddaughter, Taylar Graf; great-granddaughters, Ellis Woodruff, Oliana Woodruff and Keonna Woodruff; sisters and their husbands, Barbara and Leslie Bolton and Fredene and Truett Fenter; and numerous nieces and nephews
