DECORDOVA — Richard L. “Dick” Smith, 71, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 in Fort Worth.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Monday in Acton Cemetery.
Richard was born Dec. 22, 1940 in Cortland, N.Y. to LaMar John and Belle Alyce Pyle Smith. He married Jan Brantley on August 7, 1994 in Grand Prairie. He was the owner and operator of Southern Parts Lighting. He was a member of SAS Bowling Assoc. and participated in the Professional Senior Bowling. He had lived in Granbury since 2001. He was preceded in death by his parents and step-mother, Pauline Smith.
Survivors: Wife, Jan Smith of deCordova; children, Robin Lee Smith Moore and Kevin P. of Fort Worth, Tony Sutton and Georgia of Louisville, KY., Dixie Ann Smith Buchanan and Charles D. of Fort Worth, Julie Ann Jasper of Dallas, Steven Miller of Dallas and Misty Dupree of Grand Prairie; grandchildren, Tara, Andrew, Cory, Dakota, T.J., Shellie, Kriston, Alyssa and Amanda; four great-grandchildren; and sisters Sandi Swearingen and Sue Bennett and families.
