She was an active ambassador for Christ – always giving, blessing, loving and praying. She encouraged others to attend church and to “carry their cross”. She loved her church, which she actively worked for its new building.
She was head of the Bereavement Committee, volunteered in the Food Pantry, cleaned the church and steered the Senior Breakfast. She volunteered at NICA many years. She enjoyed feeding the homeless and offering clothing to those in need. She was a strong helper gathering and distributing items for Homeless Bags at Christmas. Her love was doing for others! She enjoyed her time at the Casino, too.
Her husband, Harold Cooper died ten months ago. She was preceded in death just moments by her Mother, Gavina Rodriguez. Her dad, Pantaleon; brother, Guadalupe; sister, Dolores; grandparents, Refugio and Isaura Aguilar welcomed Mom to Heaven.
She is survived by: Daughter, Mary Denise Clemons, son-in-law, and “Casino Buddy” Earnest, and Michael her #1 grandson; brother, Jose Rodriguez; sisters, Irene Miranda, Cecilia Segura, Yolanda Ramirez, Laura Gonzalez, Maria I. Rodriguez; and a host of relatives, friends and church family.
