GLEN ROSE — Rita Mae Douglas, 61, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2015, in Glen Rose.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday in Squaw Creek Cemetery.
Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Wiley Funeral Home.

Rita was born Nov. 20, 1953, in Cleburne to J.W. and Martha Grooms Hudgins. She married William Stanley Douglas in
1972 in Glen Rose. She was the recreation director at Glen Rose Medical Center Nursing Home Sunshine Unit.

She loved gardening and bird watching. Rita was an excellent cook & cooked for Stanley and her boys every night. She won a trophy for best cake in 2007. She adored her loyal dogs, Sky and Baby.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Ann.

Survivors: Husband, William Stanley Douglas; sons, Joseph William Douglas and Dub Hudgins, Jr.; grandchildren, Gorgianna and Christian; brother, Jerry Wayne Hudgins; and her dogs, Sky and Baby.
