Robert “Bobby” Lee Miller, 79, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at a local hospital.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Lakeside. Interment: 9:30 a.m. Monday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Biggers Funeral Home.

Bob was born October 25, 1932, in Fort Worth, to Ivan and Georgie Brown Miller. He attended school in the Fort Worth ISD and graduated from North Side High School in 1951 and attended the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 where he worked with the Army Artillery Division.
He married Janice Burnett on May 26, 1957, in Eldorado, Okla., and worked for 41 years with Texas Electric Utilities, retiring in 1992. He was the music and youth director of Belmont Park Baptist Church and Broadview Baptist Church. Also, he served as deacon of Belmont Park Baptist Church, Broadview Baptist Church, First Baptist Church of Lake Worth, Rosen Heights Baptist Church, and First Baptist Church of Lakeside where he also served as Sunday school director, senior adult minister, and was chairman of Kaleb’s Cousins Senior Adult Ministry for 15 years.
He had served on the city of Lake Worth Parks and Recreation Board and was a coach for the Lake Worth Youth Association’s girl’s softball team (the Mokaws) for five years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Raymon Miller; sisters, Mary Dutton and Juanita Wright; brothers-in-law, Sam Dutton and Jerry Burnett; and a great-grandson, Baby Will.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Janice Burnett Miller of Crowley; daughters, Marilyn Edans and husband, Randy, of Hoschton, Ga., Robyn Steward and husband, Doug, of Burleson; brother-in-law, Bob Wright of Nacogdoches; grandchildren, Amberly Jolley and husband, Brandon, of Dacula, Ga., Morgan Kennedy and husband, Danny, of Lake Worth, Brittany Torrez of Dallas, Kristy Harrison and husband, Nathan, of Austin, Ky., Chad Steward of Burleson, Brandi Paolercio and husband, Jonathan, of Tulsa, Okla., and Kari Steward of Killeen; and great-grandchildren, Braden and Bryson Jolley, Raegan Kennedy and Amelia Grace Harrison.
