Robert Hanson

Robert Hanson, age 85 of Everman Texas was born in Goatneck Community in Johnson County Texas on April 13, 1935 and passed away on December 22, 2020. Graveside Service:  11:00 AM Saturday January 2, 2021 Stroud Creek Cemetery, Tolar Texas.

Robert’s mother, Annie Hanson, passed away when he was a baby. His father Ollie Hanson and grandmother raised him on a rural place in Goatneck with no electricity or indoor plumbing.

He had many amusing stories of life on the farm. Robert went to a one room schoolhouse for the first school years, then to Cleburne. His father and he moved to Dallas during his teen years. He later dropped out of school and started drywall installation for his father. Robert became a crew leader and later he had his own company. He enjoyed cooking, grilling and barbecuing.

Robert married Sharon Bowen on February 7, 1997 in Fort Worth, Texas.  He was a real true Texan. He was only out of the state a few times. His home was in Texas and that’s where he wanted to stay.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon of Everman, his aunt, Ruby Christy of Denton and numerous cousins and friends.
