Robert Newton Thomas passed away Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012.
Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday at Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Ave., Lake Worth.
Bob was born Aug. 15, 1950, in Cleburne to Dorothy and Ross Thomas. Bob worked 35 years for Radio Shack and retired in 2005. He wed Ruth Ann that same year on March 1. Bob loved to hunt and fish with his son and his friends. He also loved family get-togethers and playing games, especially poker. However, it was his passion for music, singing and life as a whole that we will miss so very much. He would pick up his guitar and harmonica and just light up a room. He will continue to live in our memories and through all of his paintings. He was an artisan of woodworking as well as canvas.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Ann; son, Brian Scott Thomas and wife, Jaime; stepdaughters, Emily Arlena Pond, Melanie Louine Morton and husband, Mitch, and Paula Dunivan and husband, Sonny; granddaughter, Bailey Lynn Thomas; grandson, Mason Scott Thomas; sisters, Diana Wallace and husband, D.A., Juanita Young and Kathy Johnson and husband, Craig; nieces, nephews and cousins; and a host of other family and friends.
