Roger Butler

Roger Wayne Butler of White Settlement TX. passed away on Wednesday September 11, 2019. He was a son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. Celebration of life: 2pm Sat. September 21, 2019 at Biggers Funeral Home in Lake Worth, TX under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury, TX.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Texas Humane Society.

Roger was born on December 7, 1953 in Topeka, Kansas to James and Ada Butler. Roger attended C.F. Brewer High School in White Settlement TX., after high school he served 4 years in the US Navy, stationed on the Island of Guam. After his military career he worked for General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin before retiring in 2014.

He married Rachel Butler (VanWinkle) and raised three boys, Jody, Adam and Rhett.

He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

Roger is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers, Michael and Jimmy Butler.

Roger is survived by his wife of 46 yrs Rachel, three sons Jody Butler, Adam Butler and Rhett Butler all of Fort Worth, TX. Brothers: Bill Butler and wife Carmen of Del City Ok. and Stephen Butler of Fort Worth, two granddaughters Taylor Flynn and Gillian Flynn and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
