GRANBURY — Roger Lee Bacon, 72, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made on his behalf to Granbury Care Center, electric bed fund; Pecan Plantation Fire Department; or charity of choice.
Roger was born Nov. 23, 1939, in Houston to Lee Everett and Marie Jones Bacon. While his career afforded him travel to other states, he remained a Texan, always looking forward to spending time off at his home with his wife and family when they were in town in Pecan Plantation in Granbury.
Roger was an FAA designated engineering representative and had a structural consulting company. He was a member of the Kansas National Guard Tactical Fighter Unit from 1960 to 1966 and received an honorable discharge. He had 200 semester hours in engineering and associated curricula, was a member of Tau Beta Pui and Chi Epsilon and a registered professional engineer for many years.
Survivors: Wife, Elizabeth Bacon of Granbury; children, Alicia Bacon, Everett Bacon, Marisa Bacon Kelley and husband, Scott, and Martin Bacon and wife, Lesley; grandchildren, Lucas Bacon, Aryton Bacon, Shayla Kelley and Owen Kelley; brother, Earl Miner.
