CRESSON — Rosa Morales, 62, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014.
Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church. Interment: Cresson Cemetery. Rosary: 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Rosa Morales was born May 15, 1952, in Plainview to Guadalupe and the late Aldredo Rodriguez. She graduated from Plainview High School and attended West Texas State University. Rosa met and married Oscar Morales on Feb. 15, 1976, in Plainview and was married for 40 years. She retired from First Command Financial Services after 20 years and was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church.
Rosa was a beautiful person inside and out and enjoyed gardening, dancing, fashion and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved the Cowboys, Rangers and TCU.
She was preceded in death by father; her husband on May 25, 2004; and a brother, Robert Rodriguez, in 2012.
Survivors: Son, Jeffery Morales and wife, Stephanie, of Burleson; daughters, Courtenay Hicks and husband, Leon, of Waco and Maegan Hulsey and husband, Matt, of Glen Rose; grandchildren, Cristian Morales and Gabriella Morales; mother, Lupe Rodriguez of Amarillo; siblings, Erma Perez and husband, Mike, of Amarillo, Alfred D. Rodriguez and wife, Carmela, of Houston, Edward Rodriguez of Amarillo, Anna Jordan and husband, Tom, of Fountain, Colo., Tony Rodriguez and wife, Mary, of Harlingen and Dorothy Jones and husband, Danny, of San Antonio; sister-in-law, Sylvia Rodriguez of Tulia; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; additional family and friends.
