Roxie Francis (McPherson) Weedon, 91, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017 in Glen Rose, Texas.

Roxie was born on July 10, 1925 in Santa Anna, Texas to Artie and Una McPherson. She married James Lovell Weedon on July 24, 1944 in Waxahachie, Texas. She was a member of Glenview Church of Christ. Roxie was a member of the first Beta Sigma Phi Chapter, organized in Glen Rose, Texas in the 1950″s. She was a life member, serving as President, Secretary and other offices. She also served as Home Room Mother, during her daughters, Jinx and Nikki’s school years in Glen Rose. She helped in the organization of the Glen Rose Youth Riding Club. She was loved by all her friends and the youth of Glen Rose. Roxie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will never be forgotten.
Roxie was preceded in death by her Mother and Father: Una Francis McPherson and Artie McPherson, Brothers: Wallace McPherson and Bud McPherson, Sisters: Earline Woodard, Mozella Bowser, Ruth Sanders, Margaret Pease, Betty Jo Atchly, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Roxie is survived by her Husband of 73 years: James Lovell Weedon, Daughters: Eva Jo Hawkins and husband Nathan, Nikki Gale Hayes and husband Ron, Grandchildren: James Hawkins and wife Dawn, Nicole Karels and husband Darren, Aaron Hawkins and wife Beth, Christi Bradley and husband Chip, Wade Robinson and wife Kolean, Great Grandchildren: Aurora and Hunter Hawkins, Jett, Jace and Jade Karels, Audie and Gray Hawkins, Quinn and Caden Bradley, Willow and Bryce Robinson, Sisters: Nelda Coonrod & Shirlie Myers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
