Mentor, teacher and prankster. I would not have accomplished what I did in the world of power generation if Roy had not taken me under his wing early in my career. Thanks TEACHER!!!

I Remember the summers I spent with you, Aunt Delna and my cousins in Little Rock Arkansas in a cabin on the lake. Such wonderful times. I was blessed when you walked me down the isle. Your were the father I never had. I love you and you will be missed. ❤️

Roy was a true friend who was there for you in the best of times and the worst of times. He was teacher and mentor to so many of us in our work careers. Roy will be missed by us all and forgotten by none. May he smile on us all as he begins his new journey.
Steve Peck left a message on November 21, 2018:
I am glad that I had the opportunity to know Roy. I first met him through my father (Marvin Peck). Roy was a regular attendee at the Monday Coffee club my dad has hosted for many years at his work shop. During the few encounters I had with Roy, I came to know him as a kind, gentle, and soft spoken man who was very easy to talk to. I know my father thought a lot of Roy and will miss his presence on Mondays. I feel blessed to have known Roy.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Pawpaw, for 43 years. He took us camping in the mountains, taught us how to carve aspen walking sticks and burn our markings in them, caught my first rainbow trout with him, and cooked it on an open campfire. From riding trains thru the mountains, helicopter rides over Mesa Verde, to so much more I cannot list. For our summers, we all went to the lake lot with his friends and other family. Where we made homemade ice cream, boating, fishing, and fireworks. Countless memories. Christmas was always special and always at their home. Making homemade ornaments, visiting with family, and the best food ever. He taught me manners as a young child and cooked me my first live lobster. Driving to Granbury will never be the same, but I’m so thankful for all the wonderful memories he gave us all. Until we meet again. I love you Pawpaw.

Roy was always a teacher and mentor to me, but most of all a good friend. His wisdom was equal to his desire to have fun and often collided in his pranks he pulled on friends. The world is a little sad today, but heaven is brighter. I will miss him dearly.

Roy was a great mentor to me during my early days at the Dallas I&SE office. He was always ready to listen and teach. He was a great inspiration to all he touched

I remember lots of things about my Uncle Roy. He was always a man that I looked up to. I always perceived him as strong but at the same time, a person that genuinely cared about the well being of others. I used to enjoy the combinations of food that he would recommend I try one day, one of them being chocolate cake with a glass of champagne. I had not seen my uncle for probably around 10 years now but he's someone I would think about every so often. To this day he's the only person I've ever heard use the words "over yonder" and that brings a smile to my face every time I reminisce about it. I offer my sincerest condolences to my Aunt Betty and to my cousins, and to the rest of his family and friends. The world has lost a true gentleman.
