Roy Vance Hooper, 77, passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Azle.
Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017, in Biggers Funeral Chapel, with Creighton Morris of First Baptist Church of Lakeside officiating.

Roy was born in Fort Worth to Lee Roy and Rosa Newson Hooper on September 21, 1939. He went to school at Azle and Lake Worth.
He married Johnnie Kocian on September 4, 1959 in Decatur, and retired as a Supervisor for the City of Fort Worth Sanitation Department where he had worked for 37 years. He was a Shriner and a Mason. He enjoyed playing tournament pool, and riding his Harley Motor Cycle where he made lots of friends doing both.
Roy was preceded in death by his father, Lee Roy Hooper; mother, Rosa Wakeman; step-father, Bill Wakeman; sister, Rosalee Grable; and step-brother, Scotty Wakeman.
Survivors: Roy is survived by his wife, Johnnie Hooper; son, Greg; sisters, Beth Lorentz and Bobbie Thompson; nephews, Heath Lorentz, Daren Thompson and Tony Grable.
