GRANBURY — Leona Branum, 78, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 11, 2012.
Service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home. Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials to Oak Trail Baptist Church.
Leona was born Oct. 12, 1933, in Humphrey, Ark., to Frank and Elizabeth Williams Jackson. She married Gene Branum on Sept. 6, 1949, in Humphrey, Ark. She was a very caring Christian who touched the hearts of many and was very devoted and loved her family and church family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on May 15, 2005; son, Ricky Branum; daughter, Diane Mayo; granddaughter, Tara Sledge, in 1990; and brothers, Franklin Jackson Jr., Ronnie Jackson and Calvin Jackson.
Survivors: Daughter, Ronda and husband, Faron Tankersley, of Granbury; son, Randy and wife, Teri Branum, of Granbury; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Alfred Jackson of Moore, Okla.; sisters, Patti Appleby of Dumas, Ark., Fonda Lamont of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Bonnie Yeggy of Pine Bluff, Ark.; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
