Ruth was born on September 19, 1915 in Chalk Mountain, Texas to William and Viola Anderson, the middle born of fifteen children. She was married to D.J. for 59 years prior to his passing.

Ruth was an active member of George’s Creek Baptist Church Sunday School class since 1953. She enjoyed photography, gardening, sewing, cooking, cake decorating, and candy making. She was preceded in death by her husband, D.J. Brown and numerous siblings.

Ruth is survived by her daughter: Carolyn Brown of Fort Spunky, grandchildren: Jared Hankins of Glen Rose and Cheyene Parker of San Marcos, sister: Zorita Jackson of Stephenville, brothers: Wade Anderson of Hico, and Hack Anderson of California and numerous nieces and nephews.
