Ruth was born November 15, 1931 in Abernathy, Texas to Clyde Wylie and Ora Mae Schockler Wylie. She married Eugene Starnes Ratliff on January 10, 1948 in Glen Rose. Ruth was a loving caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her life revolved around her family who adored her. The grandkids loved going to her house. Ruth enjoyed crocheting, sewing, baking and cooking. She will be greatly missed by her family.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers – Otis Wylie, Roland Wylie, and Willie Clyde Wylie, and sister – Olivia Waters.
Ruth is survived by her husband – Eugene Ratliff, sons – Larry and Bettye Ratliff, Jerry and Yolanda Ratliff. grandchildren – Danny and Mary Ratliff, Robert and Brittany Gent, Scott Gent, Cary and Marisha Ratliff, Gena and Brian Davison, Sarah and Vagelis Dimitrokallis, and Sean Ray. Ruth is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, three great great-grandchildren, sisters – Carolyn Waldrip, and Ila Mae London.
