Sally Wells

Sally Wells,77, beloved mother of Betsy Hamlin, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 20th, 2013.

A graveside service will be held Saturday morning at Pine Hill Cemetery in Davenport, Iowa under the direction of Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Biggers Funeral Home.

Sally was a wonderful example of love, hospitality and generosity. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Sally received Christ as her savior while living in Zaragoza, Spain. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lakeside. She was blessed especially by the ladies Sunday school class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Wells, son, Donald L. Wells Jr., and his wife Pamela Ashford Wells. Brother, Bernard Boring.

She is survived by her daughter, Betsy Hamlin and husband, Brian; two grandchildren and their spouses, Patrick and Jillian Hamlin, and Sarah and BJ Kimbrough; seven great-grandchildren!; sister, Pat Verley; brother, James Boring and wife, Martha; loving nieces and nephews.
