Barry Hansen I had the pleasure of knowing Sam and Alice Fay when I was stationed Bergstrom. We lost contact over the yearsand when I looked on line to find him I was stunned to see he had passed. My deepest sympathy to Alice Fay and all the Landers family. He was without a doubt one of the finest men I ever knew.

My deepest condolences to Sam's Family. Although I have many loving memories of my Cousin Sam, the most special is October 17, 1983. The day we found out about our Baby Girl, Sam was in town. We couldn't contain our joy and he shared that with us. We had dinner together and he wrote our Daughter's name in Korean for us. I'll never forget that. He was one of the very best.

Remembering a dear friend…this is such a difficult time. I pray for Alice Fay and your family. Your parting is such a loss to ALL! I remember all our wonderful memories…The hard and fulfilling work we did at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. We were an amazing team. I went skiing for the first time on our dental trip, you were such a wonderful mentor in so many ways. Memories of our parties, going to Poland with Alice Fay will always be with me. Rest In Peace my dear friend. My heart aches…
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

My deepest sympathy to all the Landers family. With the fluid atmosphere of people coming in and going out in the military, to be assigned to Dr. Landers as his assistant, was like winning the lottery. I was a daily witness to his dedication to duty, his interest in dentistry and a great sense of humor. All of the above were my inspiration to go to dental school. As I have recently retired, I find this moment poignant, as I say goodbye to an enjoyable career and the man who several decades ago, encouraged me to go on this journey. Thank you, Sam. Via con Dios.

Sam will always be my favorite brother-in-law. Always kind and quiet-spoken. I remember a trip out to Colorado when he bought a minivan for all of us to do a road trip. So thoughtful and considerate. He will be missed.
John W. Shaner, Colonel, USAF, DC (Ret) left a message on February 10, 2022:
My sincere condolences to Sam’s family on his passing. He was a truly remarkable person. I had the honor of serving with Sam when he was stationed at Hurlburt Field, FL. To say that he was talented in any of his endeavors was an understatement. A very gifted and skilled clinician, athlete, and leader, he exhibited confidence, compassion and humor that marked his distinguished career in the Air Force Dental Corps. His contributions and service to our country are a testament to his patriotism.
