GRANBURY — Sandra Hanna Wims, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Granbury Church of Christ. Interment: 1 p.m. Wednesday in Earthman Memory Gardens in Baytown. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wiley Funeral Home. Sandra was born Sept. 26, 1941 in Baytown to E.U. (Pete) and Juanita Hanna. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown. She received a B.A. Degree from Sam Houston State University in 1963 and completed courses for her M.A. Degree. Sandra taught world history at Robert E. Lee High for 20 years before retiring in 1996. She and her husband,
David, moved to Pecan Plantation near Granbury and lived there until her death. Sandra loved to be with her grandchildren to travel, play bridge, to dine out and visit with family and friends. She was a faithful member of the Lakewood Church of Christ in Baytown and the Granbury Church of Christ in Granbury. She was preceded in death by her parents and sons, Brett and Bradley Wims.
Survivors: David Wims, her husband of 51 years; brother, Bill Hanna and wife, Jane; sister, Linda Bosse and husband, Gene; sister-in-law, Barbara Wolf; brother-in-law, Cotton Hanna and wife, Judy; aunt, Jean Cates and husband, Reagan; 13 nieces and nephews and families.
