GRANBURY — Sarah Nell Fisher Wiant, 93 went to her heavenly home on July 23, 2012 in Granbury. A graveside memorial service will be held for family members at the K and P cemetery in Burnsville, WV. She will rest next to her husband, Samuel W. Wiant. She was born July 13, 1919 the youngest child or Frank Fisher and Viola Virginia Harper Fisher. She was married in 1940 to Samuel W. Wiant of Burnsville, WV and they lived in Weston and Nutter Fort, WV until 1960 when Pittsburgh, PA became home. Sarah loved the “Steelers” and was a committed fan with her “terrible towel”. Sarah and Sam lived happily in Pittsburgh until Sam’s death in 1999. In 2002 she moved from her longtime home to live with her daughter, Sheila in Millersville, MD. In 2009 whe came to Granbury, TX to reside where her daughter Sandra was living. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, brothers, Paul and Harper Fisher, sisters Nina and Mary Louise Fisher, Gertrude Singleton Mariano and Nancy Bright and a much loved family friend Eva Kennedy who resided with the Fisher family many years. Sarah was a much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was perfect example of Proverbs 31:11-31, a virtuous woman. “Her own works praise her in the gates.” A special thank you to Mission Hospice and the wonderful caregivers at the Cove at Waterview and all her special friends there. She is leaving behind four daughters Sandra Hungate, Sharon Walker, Sheila Whitt and Shirley McWilliams, eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and a host of friends and extended family who loved her.
