SGT 1st Class Riley Stephens

August 26, 1973 - September 28, 2012

Sgt. 1st Class Riley Stephens, 39, of Tolar died Friday September 28, 2012 after he was shot in a gun battle in Afghanistan.

A Candlelight Vigil was held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 on the Old Tolar Football Field. Angel Flight flew his flag draped casket to Cleburne Airport on Saturday Morning, October 6, and visitation was held at Wiley Funeral Home, Saturday Evening. Funeral Services were held at the Tolar Baptist Church on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 2:00 PM with Interment with a Horse Drawn Caisson and Full Military Honors in the Dallas Ft. Worth National Cemetery at 5:00 PM Sunday Evening. Memorials should be given to the Wounded Warrior Fund.
