Shari Dawn Lackey

Shari Dawn Lackey, 66, beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away on January 26, 2023 surrounded by her family. Shari was born in Perryton, Texas to parents Major Wesley Lackey Jr. and Mary Jane (Keim) Lackey on July 23, 1956. Shari attended Lubbock Public Schools where she graduated from adult education classes. When she lived in Lubbock, Shari worked at Lighthouse for the Blind and The Blackeyed Pea restaurants.  Shari moved to Granbury in 2017 to be closer to her family.

Shari was a very loving and caring Christian woman.  She was an avid Texas Tech fan. She loved music, movies, holidays and birthdays celebrated with her family and friends.

Shari was preceded in death by her mother Janie Lackey. She is survived by her father Wesley Lackey Jr, brother Major Wesley Lackey III(Mike) and partner Les Lujan, sister Pamela Joyce and husband Patrick, nephew Nicholas Joyce, niece Alyssa Joyce and her “best buddy” Sarah Parker Spurrier.

She loved all and was loved by all and will truly be missed.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday February 5^th at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury Texas.
