GRANBURY — Sharon K. Greer, 66, a retired music educator and speech pathologist, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2012 in Granbury. Memorial service: 1 p.m. Thursday at White Chapel of Acton United Methodist Church.
Sharon was born Sept. 21, 1945 in Red Oak, Okla. to Dempsey Hibbs and Bessie Faye Neal Greer. She graduated from Tonkawa High School in Tonkawa, Okla. She earned a bachelor’s degree in music and a master’s degree in speech pathology from the University of Central Oklahoma. Sharon worked as a band director at various schools in Nebraska and Illinois and was a music instructor at Northern Oklahoma College. She later worked in speech pathology in the Graham area. Sharon was always active in her church and commissioned as a minister at the Graham church. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Barbara.
