Shirley and I seemed to have a thread that pulled us back together no matter where we
moved in the world. Our history dates back to high school and firmly locks in place at many points in our lives. When Bob and I moved back to Granbury in 1987, Shirley and I found ourselves seated side by side at a dinner; our old friendship clicked in and we were best friends again just like that. Shirley was the sister that I always wanted and finally had - in her. She knew all my secrets and, better yet, kept them. We all went camping with the grandbabies. When Bob and I wandered off on yet another move, we always came "home" to Ralph and Shirley's. So, save me a seat best friend and I'll be there shortly. Then we can pick up our ongoing conversation as though we'd just taken a breath between sentences. I love you, Barbara
