I have known Shirley since we worked together at southwest bell in Houston Shirley and Jerry were close friends. I stopped in granberry several years ago and spent the night. We kept up with each other on Facebook. Then I quit hearing from her. My cousin Larry Swenson moved to granberry a few years ago. I told him to stop by Shirley & Jerry house. No one .answered the door. I tried to communicate but never heard back. Rest In Peace Shirley.

Jerry, Sorry for your loss she will definitely be missed. As I read her obituary and thinking back when we would get her Christmas Card and looking forward to her Christmas Letter brought smiles to my heart remising about how she shared her family with us. She will have the best Christmas spending with our Jesus Christ and singing in his choir.

Shirley was such a loving person and it showed in everything she did and always with a Christian attitude. She made our Sunday School class at Pecan Baptist Church so interesting and went beyond the ordinary lesson provided. She studied the Bible and knew answers for the many questions that came up in our class. When it came to Christmas, Shirley could put on a Christmas show for the church that was enjoyed by everyone of all ages. She definitely had a spirit that came through in all she did. I will miss her sweet smile and I know she is in Heaven loving on all she meets up there. Jerry I am praying for you and your family...she will be missed by all that knew her.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I have many memories of Miss Shirley as my Sunday School teacher at Pecan Baptist church. One in particular was a Christmas cookie exchange at her house. All of our ladies came and we all brought an ornament and played Chinese Christmas. Miss Shirley cooked a full course meal for us country fried steak, mashed potatoes etc. It was delicious! I could tell Christmas was a favorite holiday for her house was well decorated in Christmas decor! Even then she made sure we learned something! She was a great teacher and friend! I know heaven is rejoicing! Prayers for her family and us left here on earth 🙏♥️
