Shirley Mae Bridges Jones

Shirley Mae Bridges Jones, 84, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018. Service: 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 11, 2018, First United Methodist Church, Godley, Interment: Godley Cemetery, Visitation: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Monday, December 10, 2018, Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Shirley was born in the Panhandle in Dalhart, Texas to John and Edna Bridges. She cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church, Godley and of the Quilting Group. She enjoyed travelling the world square dancing.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Marylin Elizabeth Bridges Campbell and Carolyn Amaryllis Bridges McNally, one brother, Charles Wendell Bridges, and one daughter- in- law, Carla Ann Pfitzinger Jones.

Shirley is survived by her children: J.R. Jones and his wife Shanna of Glen Rose, Julie Jones Neuneker and Bryan Newton of Bluff Dale, and Vernon Jones and wife Kayla of Springtown, brothers: Richard Bridges and Johnny Bridges and wife René of Arlington, grandchildren: Amber Johnson and husband Robert of Weatherford, Lindsay Jones Hall and husband Joey of Prattville, Alabama, Myles Neuneker of Chicago, Rachel Neuneker of Ft Myers, Florida, Jennifer Jones of Palestine, Texas, and Jacob Jones of Durango, Colorado, and great-grandchildren: Aubrey Johnson, Allie Johnson, and Grady Hall and many loving nieces and nephews.
