Stephen Patrick “Pat” Porter went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday December 2,2022.
Service: 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2022 in Biggers Funeral Chapel, 6100 Azle Ave., Fort Worth, Texas
Visitation: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Biggers Funeral Home.
Following the Service on Friday, all are invited to a dinner to be held at Legacy Baptist Church, 5500 Boat Club Rd., Fort Worth, TX
Pat was born February 24,1970 in Tampa, FL to Edwin and Dorothy Porter.
Pat was married to the love of his life Christy Leanne. They have two sons and a daughter. Pat loved his family more than life itself and cherished the time he spent with them. One of Pat’s favorite getaways with his family was his Stampede Ranch in Oklahoma, where the family made many happy memories.
Pat loved the Lord with all of his heart and knew that when he left this world he would immediately be in the presence of Jesus.
Pat was Founder and President of Stampede Sales and Hardware Inc. This business will carry on under his son Tyler’s leadership.
Pat was former owner of the North Texas Stampede semi pro football team and under Pat’s leadership won multiple championships. Pat is also a member of the Semi Pro-Football Hall of Fame as a player, coach and owner.
Pat is survived by his wife, Christy; sons, Tyler Wallace (Elida), Zach Porter and daughter Marissa Porter; grandchildren, Tyler Jr and Leilani; mother, Dorothy Porter; brothers, Adam Porter (Shelba), Alan Porter (Lisa); sisters, Kelly Pitt (Ken) and Katie Porter; several nieces and nephews as well, all of whom he doted on.
