Christi, you and your family are ever present in our thoughts and prayers. We are saddened by the loss of Steve but remain ever grateful to him for showing us how to serve the poor and lonely in our community of Fredericksburg. He always encountered all he helped in a way that embraced their human dignity and encouraged so many kids and adults by including them in service. He is missed here as are you. May our Lord reward Steve for his goodness! Much love and prayers!

Steve will be greatly missed by all of us who were fortunate enough to know him. Oh how he loved to laugh .....but loved the Dallas Cowboys even more!
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Steve was a big man with an even bigger heart. I did pet sitting for him and Christi for many years What amazed me most was his total devotion to his family and his faith. When Steve heard his aunt Betty was in failing health he drove to Texas and brought her home to live with him and Christy. He thought nothing of changing soiled clothes ,preparing meals or enduring countless nights of bell ringing in order to care for her. Steve, I know you have a special place in Heaven.
Ann Duhamel left a message on January 3, 2021:
Steve was the most giving person I have ever known. I worked with Steve cooking and serving dinners for the less fortunate in our community for a number years. Bless you and may you never be forgotten.
