Ted Moody, 27, of Granbury went home to be with our Lord Sunday, May 24, 2015.
A celebration of Ted’s life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, May 31st at Stonewater Church in Granbury.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 30th from 6 to 8 pm at Wiley Funeral home in Granbury.
Ted was born June 17, 1987 in Bakersfield, CA to Wayne and Kathy Moody. Ted was raised on ranch in the Piute Mtns. of CA before moving to Mustang, OK and later Midland, TX where he graduated high school. He attended Texas Tech before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. After his service he worked in OK and the Midland area as a salesman of oilfield & industrial supplies. As all that know him may suspect, Ted was an excellent salesman having never met a stranger or being at a loss for words.
He moved to Granbury in 2013 in order to undergo surgery to repair injuries to his back. A tragic car accident shortly afterwards kept him hospitalized much of 2014. Ted did travel with several of his brothers in Christ last year on a mission trip on the Amazon River in Brazil, a trip he hoped would be an annual ritual.
Although his time in Granbury was fairly short, Ted accumulated many friends here and met the woman he knew was “the one”. He was active in Church and particularly enjoyed Stonewater’s twice annual “Man Camp”.
Ted made an indelible mark on the lives of many people during his time on earth and will be sorely missed by all. He is survived by: children — Colten Daniel and Hadleigh Nichole; parents — Wayne and Kathy of Granbury; sister — Allison Moody of Mustang, OK; grandmother – Wanda Moody of Henryetta, OK; his “angel” – Klarice Kollman; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather – Pete Moody and maternal grandparents – Mike and Virgie Railey.
Flowers are welcome, but donations to the Stonewater Church Missions Fund in Ted’s name are encouraged.
