Thomas Burford Scott

August 22, 1933 - February 17, 2014

Thomas Burford Scott, 80, passed away Monday, February 17, 2014, surrounded by family and friends after suffering from a brief illness.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Tom was born in Springtown on August 22, 1933, to Frank and Anna Scott. He proudly served his country for 20 years having been in the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was a very giving and loving father and grandfather. His favorite Bible passage was the 23rd Psalm. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

He is survived by his sister, Mary McCallion; sons, Jack Scott and wife Susie, Kirk Scott and wife Mary; daughter, Frances Scott Anderson; seven granddaughters; six great-granddaughters; two great-grandsons; many nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
