Tom was born Oct. 11, 1952, in Pontiac, Mich., to William Ferdinand Younk and Helvi Elvira Jarvi Younk. He married Susan Anderson, Mar. 24, 1979, in South Padre Island. He had lived in Granbury since 1983 and was a member of Granbury First Presbyterian Church. Tom worked for Wren Planing Mill in Fort Worth. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, helping others, yard work and story telling.
Survivors: Wife, Susan Younk of Granbury; son, Jason Thomas Younk of Mich.; brothers, Gregory Younk and wife, Marilyn, Theodore Younk and wife, Bonnie, Karl Younk and wife, Peggy, all of Mich.; sisters, Kathy McDonald of Mich., Marcia Roman and husband, John, of Ill.; adopted family, Kerry, Nancy, Miles, Phillip and Richard Comeau of Granbury; several nieces and nephews.
