Tommie Faye Carswell

Tommie Faye Wilkinson Carswell, 86, was born January 30, 1933 in Eliga, Texas passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at home in Bluff Dale, Texas. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Tommie may be made to a children’s organization of your choice.

Tommie was a member of the Pearl Church of Christ in Pearl, Texas. She and her husband, John A. Carswell, who she married on August 26, 1952 in Gatesville, Texas, were the owners of a grocery store in downtown Granbury for many years. She was also the co-founder and owner of the Granbury Care Center until it was sold. The most joyful and rewarding experience in life was sharing it with her husband, raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral: 10:30 am. Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel in Granbury with visitation prior to the service from 9:30 am. – 10:30 am. Saturday. Graveside services will follow at Pearl Cemetery in Pearl, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen (J.A.) Carswell; her parents, A.B. (Boon) and Leota White Wilkinson, a sister, LaVerle Tennison, and a brother, Mack Wilkinson.

Tommie is survived by her children, Terri Moore (Gary), Jeff Carswell (Sandra), Susan Perkins (Tim) , Joey Carswell, and Dray Ann Duncan (Mike);  grandson, Jody Coffman(Meredith) and children Averie, Jace and Jack; grandson, John Patrick Carswell (Jennifer) and children Ava and Jude; granddaughter, Ashley Scruggs (Wesley) and children Jacob, Maddie and Ashlynn; grandson, Joshua Carswell (Michelle) and children Amy and Jefferson; granddaughter, Amanda Gill (Jay) and children Jake and Andie; granddaughter,  Audray Moran (Matthew) and children Jayden, Jorden and Annabelle; granddaughter, Alexandria Edwards (Austen) and children Adley and Adrien; granddaughter, Adrianna Duncan (Miles Thetford); granddaughter, Abbie Carswell, granddaughter, Jolee Carswell; step-granddaughter, Shannon Kinnon (Adam) and children Miranda, Izzy, Dominic and Damian; step-grandson, Cliff Moore and children Cooper and Chloe; step-grandson, Neil Moore (Ashley) and children Greyson, Grant, Griffin and Georgia Beth; brothers and sister, Ray Wilkinson (Erlinda), Jim Wilkinson (Marie), Mary Boudreaux (Jerry) and Tim Wilkinson (Becky); brother-in-law, James Carswell (Sue) and many nieces and nephews.
