T. M. “Tom” Rountree, 79 passed away Monday, Oct. 17 in a Fort Worth Hospital. Memorial Services: 10:00 A.M. Friday, Oct. 21 at Acton United Methodist Church. Mr. Rountree was born Feb. 13, 1932 to Maborn B.and Bessie Malcolm Rountree in Winfield, TX. Tom married Shelly Stuart Nov. 23, 1956 in Sacramento, CA. He retired from the Boy Scouts of America in 1996; served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He had an Associate of Arts Degree from Sacramento City College. An avid golfer, he belonged to the Pecan Plantation Country Club and the Nutcracker Golf Club. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. He was a master Mason, Granbury Masonic Lodge #392 Molah Shrine Temple in Fort Worth, past president of the\chanters and member of the Scottish Rite of Fort Worth. He was preceded by his parents and a brother Harry B. Rountree. Memorials are suggested to the Pecan Plantation E.M.S.
Survivors: Wife: Shelly Rountree of Granbury; Son: Russell Rountree and his wife Kathryn of Santa Fe, NM; Daughter: Susan Kruger and husband Tom of Eagan, MN; Grandchildren; Chelsea Rountree a 4.0 student on the Dean’s list at Loyola Marymount University and Benjamin Rountree, a Webolo Scout.
