My Aunt Valta was something special – and boy could she ever tell a story! I remember laughing at many of the tales she recounted from her days teaching. She was a positive force and she is memorable – we should all be so fortunate as to have had such an impact in life. Thinking of you Uncle Gerald and Cousin Colin.

I have known and loved Valta for about 60 years, I worked on her Mom and Dad's farm for several years before and during high school. I never saw her when she didn't have something to smile and/or laugh about.

Yes, My Aunt Valta was a firecracker ! A wonderful sweet loveable firecracker of a lady! She will be missed. I always looked forward to seeing her & Gerald at the family gatherings and listening to her talk. I knew Gerald & Valta would come to every Heffley gathering they could! With sincere sympathy to my Uncle Gerald Heffley & my cousin Colin and their families. How blessed by God you & Valta were Uncle Gerald to have 58 years of marriage together. With love, Julie Heffley Hammond, Ross, Chris, Katie, Baby Nash, and (my husband, David in Heaven) . Baby Nash never got to meet Valta but my kids, Ross, Chris, Katie & my husband David did ....at many a Heffley family reunion!
