Veda Marie McKenzie, 62, went to her Heavenly home Saturday, March 12, 2022. She was born October 11, 1959, to Rufus Porter “Mac” McKenzie and Mildred Catherine Eades McKenzie in Fort Worth, Texas.

Veda had a Master’s in marketing from Tarleton State University. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. She was a philanthropist who dedicated her life to helping others. She had a gentle soul, kind heart, and would give and do just about anything to help someone in need.

Veda is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Catherine “Cathy” McKenzie.

Veda leaves behind to cherish her memory, “her girls” Christy & Madison Wheeler and Jessica & Skylar Hacker; cousins; plus countless friends and loved ones. We will miss her gentle spirit and loving nature. The world was a better place with her in it and we are all better people for knowing her.

Visitation will be from 6pm-8pm. Thursday; March 17, 2022 at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.

Graveside services will be held 11am. Friday; March 18, 2022 at Acton Cemetery with Pastor Yonathan Moris officiating. Services under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home of Granbury.
