Vera “Wyleta” Malone of Granbury, TX passed away on Monday Jan. 8th after a lengthy illness. Memorial service: 10:30 AM, Tuesday, January 16, 2018, First United Methodist Church, Granbury.
Wyleta was born on Nov. 16, 1930 in Meridian TX to Vera and Roy Anderson. She attended Meridian schools where she was a standout basketball player and 4 year letterman. She married Roy Malone of Iredell, TX in 1948. They enjoyed raising their 3 children, later welcoming a granddaughter and a great- grandson. A special soul, Wyleta was an avid bridge player, gardener and homemaker. She will be greatly missed by family and loved ones.
Wyleta is survived by her husband Roy Malone of Granbury, daughter: Ellen Malone of Fort Worth, son: James Malone of New York City and son: Patrick Malone and wife Shelly of Fort Worth, granddaughter: Heather Vowell and great-grandson: Anthony of Fort Worth.
