LIPAN — Jo Ator, 93, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012 in Southlake. Service: 2 p.m. Monday at the Church of Christ in Lipan. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Wiley Chapel. Memorials: American Cancer Society or Evergreen Cemetery Association.
Jo was born Feb. 22, 1919 in Lipan to Erastus and Daisy Cook. She married George P. Ator on Aug. 16, 1941 in Oklahoma. He passed away March 14, 2002. She was the manager of Roger’s Department Store in Snyder for over 20 years. She was a member of the Lipan Church of Christ.
Survivors: Sons and wives, Phil and Pamela Ator of Fort Worth and Rick and Tami Ator of Murphy; daughters and husbands, Diana and Bob Price of Dallas and Sharrylon and Jerry Vestal of Grapevine; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Clarice Ator of Houston and Melba Sansing of Amarillo; numerous nieces and nephews.
