Verna Maxine Patterson, 97, passed away Friday, July 8, 2017 in Glen Rose.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2017 in Bishop Cemetery in Lipan.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2017 at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.

Verna was born April 7, 1920 in Lipan to Nathan and Mary Tipton Rogers. She enjoyed fishing, working the ranch, driving tractors and bailing hay. Verna was a good cook, made her husbands happy, was a very confident lady, took chances and always dressed up. She was a member of Clairette Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, O.C. Winslett and S.E. Patterson; and four sisters.

Survivors: Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews who loved her.
