Vernon was born on June 10, 1940 in Madisonville, Kentucky to William and Norma Rudolph. He proudly served in the US Army, Navy, and National Guard. He graduated from the University of Texas, Arlington with a Bachelor of Arts, in Marketing. For the last twenty years, he served as a certified public accountant. His clients were more like family.
Vernon married Rita Carol Edwards on March 12, 1994 in Paluxy, Texas. Vernon was active in his son’s 4H as an adult volunteer. His family heritage was important to him. Vernon spent many years traveling and tracing his family genealogy. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, which was evident by the trophy display in his home.
Survivors: wife: Rita Rudolph, children: Vanessia Steelman and husband Mike, Erica Gibbs and husband Joe, and Will Rudolph, grandchildren: Ryan Steelman, Morgan and Chase Walls, Tyler Gibbs, Trey Gibbs, Tanner Gibbs, Ella Swaim, and Hayley Swaim, brothers: James R. Rudolph and wife Joyce, Timothy L. Rudolph and wife Teresa, Paul Rudolph and wife Kathy, and sister: Jan Taylor and husband Dwight.
