Vicky Lynn Spiker

Vicky Lynn Spiker went to be with our Lord and Savior suddenly at her home in Weatherford, Texas on November 7, 2021.

She was born on January 6, 1962, at Carswell Air Force Base in Fort Worth, Texas to Jessie and Joyce Steel.  Everyone who knew Vicky knew that she was the most loving, kindhearted, wholesome, genuine person and she loved her family fiercely.  Though she left us too soon, those of us who were blessed to be touched by her, understand that her existence, and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here.

Vicky was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Marie Steel; sister, Julie Diane Steel; mother-in-law, Carolyn Spkier; father-in-law, Charles Glenn “Pop”; sister-in-law, Candy Howard.

She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Larry Jay Spiker;  her doting son, Cody Ryan Spiker and his girlfriend, Ezri Gough; father, Jessie Lee Steel; sisters, Jessie Lee and her husband, Doug Brown, Rhonda and her husband, Troy Brannan, and Cindy and her husband, Rudy Delarosa; nephews, Andrew Cokenour and his wife, Misty and son, Jacob, Barry Taylor and his children, Bella and Kayden; niece, Trisha Hughes and her husband, Cameron and their children, Chanlea, Cora Sue and Cami Jo; sisters and brothers-in-law, Penny Morgan,  Christy Organ, Tammy Edwards, Randy Spiker and his son Carson, Joseph Spiker, Jr., Vivian Buckley, Clayton Abrell Jr., Kelly Abrell and Cary Lynn Abrell, Sr.; along with numerous other family members and friends.

“You never said I’m leaving, you never said goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God knew why. A million times we needed you, a million times we cried.  If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died.  In life we loved you dearly, in death we love you still.  In our hearts you hold a place that no one could ever fill.  It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone, for part of us went with you, the day Good took you home”.
