Victor Darrell Moore, 72, passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, in Cleburne.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at Wiley Funeral Home in Glen Rose. Burial: Georges Creek Cemetery in Somervell County. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials: Bono Volunteer Fire Department.
Mr. Moore was born Apr. 30, 1939, in Bluff Dale, to Cecil H. Moore and Connie Jo Jones Moore. He married Ceta Russell, May 15, 2001, in Carrizozo, N.M. He attended Bluff Dale and Stephenville schools and graduated from Stephenville High School in 1957. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Victor served as Fire Chief for General Dynamics (Lockheed-Martin). He was an accomplished musician and was a member of the Brazos Ramblers. He was also talented in woodworking which led him to making furniture and musical instruments, especially mandolins. Victor was a member of the American Legion Post #491. He was a beloved husband, father and friend. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Michael Don Moore.
Survivors: Wife, Ceta Moore; son, Sam Moore and wife, Ann; daughter, Christy Munoz; step-daughters, Jennifer Hunter and Kreshna Sheplear; grandchildren, Clint and Chance Moore, Zachary West, Jason and Tye Munoz, Derek and Amber Jackson, Kailey and Colton McMurry; great granddaughter, Katelyn Bishop; brothers, Dale Moore and wife, Donna, Jackie Moore and wife, Yvonne.
