Walter S. McKee, 92, passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, in Granbury.
Service: Private family services will be held at Dallas – Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Walt was born June 18, 1923, in Fort Worth, to Walter and Lucille McKee. He was a 42 year employee of Bell-Textron in Hurst, Texas. Walt was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was part of the D-Day invasion on day 2 and proudly served with the “Hell on Wheels” 2nd Armor Division. He was a Mason and a Scottish Rite Mason. His children will always remember adventurous summer vacations and the hours he spent rebuilding Farmall tractors and his 1963 GMC pickup.
Survivors: Sons, Paul and wife, Jan, Steven and wife, LaDonna; daughter, Lois; oldest and dearest friend, Teresa Smith; Phillipino daughter, Phoebe Adams; and his four legged friends, Ely, Ruth, Sarah, Ben, Annie and Tim.
