Weldon Hood

August 3, 1925 - February 7, 2012

GRANBURY — Weldon Harold Hood of Granbury (formerly of Mineral Wells) passed away on February 7, surrounded by the love of his family and caregivers.
Graveside service: A graveside service honoring Weldon’s life and celebrating the love of God will be held at Rock Creek Cemetery, north of Mineral Wells, on Saturday, February 11 at 11:00 a.m.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Mineral Wells Volunteer Fire Department.
Weldon was born on August 3, 1925 in Rhome Texas. He moved to Mineral Wells as a teenager and graduated from Mineral Wells High School in 1943. He retired from Mineral Wells Independent School District and was also a retired Mineral Wells Volunteer Firefighter. Outside of his family, his greatest love was golf and the outdoors and he was Club Champion of Holiday Hills Golf Course several times in his lifetime and a multiple-time member of the
