Ricky Ward called me this morning to let me know of Wally's passing. In December, Wally helped install a huge cooler for our agency, Northside Inter-Community Agency. We placed it in the lobby, but it required taking off the front door to get it in. Even with the door removed, the unit barely cleared. Wally was so kind and generous to have done that for us and not charged another cent. I understand from Ricky that he had a big heart and helped many charities. My sympathy to all who mourn the passing of this great soul.

Wally cleared a huge path during his 74 years, one of which not many can follow. His passing is a great loss to all that knew & loved him. For me personally he has been a blessing and a good friend and will be missed more than words can express. We thank you Lord for Wally's time here on earth and are certain that he is with you now.

So sorry for the loss of your dear loved one Mr Culps, The Bible does give us hope of one day soon living a happy, unending life with family and friends here on the earth. ( Psalms 37:11,29)

I met Wally Culps many, many years ago through his daughter Trish. We were very young and had been dating only for a short time. I remember meeting him for the first time in a freezer at Riscky’s Barbeque on 28th street. I was so nervous, I think he found that amusing. Not long after that, he became my Father-In-Law. Over the years we developed a very close relationship, not only as a Father-In-Law but as a mentor and most importantly as a true friend. Even after his daughter and I parted ways, we maintained our relationship for many years. Unfortunately as what happens over time, we did eventually lose contact with each other on a regular basis. Within the last 4 years we were able to reconnect periodically and while he might have moved a little slower, I found the same Wally I so loved all those years ago. I will miss him immensely.
