Although I never had the honor of knowing Mr. Davis, I do have the privilege of knowing his daughter. And if that young lady is an indication of her Father, he must have been a true American deeply rooted in the values and morals this Country were founded on. May God Rest His Soul.

William Davis or “Papaw” as my brothers, cousins, sons, and I called him was a great man. He was the epitome of a “family man”. He was extremely benevolent, always putting the needs and wants of others above his own. As long as I knew him he was always cool, calm, and composed. He would never be too high or too low. This was especially noticeable during his times of decreased health. He fought through both extreme physical pain and mental exhaustion with smile on his face. He never complained and was always optimistic and humble. He will be sorely missed, although, he will forever live (and be loved) through our thoughts and memories of him.

Dad, I can't Thank You enough for being my father. I'm so grateful to have you in my life for 45 years. You've taught me so much and I will always give my all to everything in life, just like you. I also want to Thank you for being the Best grandfather that Cameron and Reese could ever ask for. Those girls think the WORLD of you! I'm gonna miss our daily Rangers/Cowboys/Mavericks talk. I love you and will see you again someday.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Dear Bill, Thank you for all the good years of raising our wonderful children, Stephanie and Chad and for being such a good father, grandfather and great grand father. Peggy is the best thing to happen to you and your love for each other and our children was a blessing. You will be missed especially by our families but also by the many people who became your friend over the years. You had a way to make them smile and laugh. The last time Fred and I saw you was at Tay and Natalie's wedding. It was good and we put a lot of things to rest. Fred was so glad to meet you and I only wish you guys could have had more time to get to know each other. Just know that everyone misses you, loves you and looks forward to seeing you on the other side. God bless you sweet Willy!!
