HICO — Harold Eckert, 62, passed away Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, in Granbury.
Memorial service: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Granbury First United Methodist Church.
Memorials: ALS Foundation.
Mr. Eckert was born Oct. 12, 1948, in San Angelo, to Earnest Harold Eckert and Della Mae Coney Eckert. He married Beccy Strother, Mar. 30, 1991, in Georgetown. Harold served in the U.S. Marine Corps and worked in the wholesale grocery industry.
Survivors: Wife, Beccy Eckert of Hico; son, Earnest Eckert and wife, Marrissa, of Granbury; daughter, Christina Millican and husband, Herman, of Hico; granchildren, Hadden Eckert, Justin Millican, Shannon Millican, Christopher Millican; brothers, Kenneth Eckert of Bedford, Ronnie Eckert and wife, Judy, of Kerrville; sister, Kay Moore of San Angelo; uncle, Jack Coney and wife Olga, of Santa Anna.

Beccy and family, I treasure all the time I spent with Harold through the years. Harold was more than a co-worker to me he was my friend, and confident. Harold could get a smile out fo the grouchiest customer and won many a person over with his warmth and charm. I will miss him tremdously as I know you will, but he will be in our hearts forever.
